Comment Policy

The Pioneer encourages respectful, courteous and lively discussion through comments on the whitmanpioneer.com website.

A comment violates the whitmanpioneer.com user policy if it:

- contains an advertisement or other spam;
- contains profane, obscene or offensive language;
- encourages illegal or criminal acts;
- targets or otherwise singles out an individual or group of individuals who are the subjects of an article, a Whitman Pioneer staff member or a Whitman community member for a personal attack. A personal attack is that which maliciously targets the character of or signifies an intent to harm an individual or group of individuals.

Such comments will not be published. Whitman Pioneer staff do not edit comments, but reserve the right to delete inappropriate comments from the whitmanpioneer.com website at their discretion. Furthermore, no personal information about commenters will be distributed, except when in violation of this policy.

You are responsible for your own words, and may be held accountable for them. The Pioneer is not responsible for any content you post.

Please allow several days for comment moderation. When a comment is submitted, it appears immediately under the Response section; however, this is only a preview of the comment. When the page is refreshed, the comment will not appear publicly until it has been approved by a moderator.
